-Type: Black Tea; Tea leaves are allowed to fully oxidize before they are heat-processed and dried, which makes black tea different from green or white tea. During oxidation the tea leaves turn into rich dark brown to black color. Oxidation alters the flavor profile of a black tea, helping add malty, fruity or even smoky notes; infusion color of this tea is coppery and is full bodied with a unique malty and robust flavors.

These tea leaves are picked from late July to October, after careful weeding of the tea garden after the Summer Harvest. Monsoon or rainy season, lasts in Nepal from June to September, the tea plants resume growth until October. Some call this the “Autumn Flush”.  Fall Harvest produces naturally fruity flavored tea.  They typically have a coppery colored liquid and a nice round taste, and stronger than the Spring or Summer Harvests.

Boiling Water Temperature
Green tea – 160~180 degrees F
Black tea – 200~212 degrees F
White tea – 160~190 degrees F

Brew Using a Tea Infuser
Fill the tea infuser with 2-3 teaspoons of Jaubari tea.
Dip the tea infuser into one cup of hot water.
Let the tea steep for a few minutes before serving it.

Hot Brew Tea
Boil one cup of water in a teapot/kettle.
Add 2-3 teaspoons of Jaubari tea leaves and let the tea steep for 2 mins.
Leave the tea to brew for a little longer time if you prefer a strong flavor.

Cold Brew Iced Tea
In a jug with 2 cups of cold water, add 4-6 tablespoons of Jaubari tea.
Refrigerate it for 4 hours.
Leave the tea to cold brew for a little longer time if you prefer a strong flavor.
