Green Tea Sencha

$11.99$22.00

-Origin: Ilam, Nepal
-Ingredients: Camilia Senensis
-Type: Sencha Green Tea; Japanese-style green tea with needle-like leaves and smooth dark green appearance
-Character: Oceanic, Grassy and Earthy, Vegetal, Vibrant Color, Bittersweet
-Suggested food pairing: Sushi and sashimi, Seafood platter, Steamed vegetables

Sencha is made from leaves that grow under sunlight; this increases the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves, giving them their bright green color. Mostly, the leaves from the upper shoots are picked because they are the youngest leaves and are therefore higher quality. Steaming process begins immediately to prevent oxidation. When brewed this tea has a pale green color and a light aroma with a perfect blend of bitter and sweet taste with a pleasant lasting finish.
